A new journey in vintage kimono
SEIGAIHA - A New Journey for Vintage Kimonos
SEIGAIHA
It is like a gently spreading wave stretching out into the future,
The name comes from an ancient Japanese pattern.
Our wishes are like waves of happiness,
The connection of important things from the past to the future.

Bringing the spirit of craftsmanship back into everyday life
My Story
I first encountered kimono when I was 20 years old.
The moment the wedding dress was folded,
Gorgeous embroidery, deep colors,
And my heart trembled at the solemn atmosphere that permeated the place.
As a kimono dresser and hairdresser,
We have been close to the lives of thousands of people and have continued to ask ourselves, "What is beauty?" and "What does it mean to dress up?"
However, kimonos and bolts of fabric produced from the Edo to Showa periods are now rapidly disappearing.
Spinning, dyeing, weaving, and sewing...
All of this is the culmination of advanced craftsmanship that can no longer be reproduced.
The beauty and soul of Japan resides there.
However, due to changes in lifestyles and differences in values,
Clothes are thrown away every day.

Going beyond "making" to "connecting"
Our Mission
SEIGAIHA is
We breathe new life into these precious garments.
He personally designs, patterns and sews each piece.
Upcycled into cool and modern clothes, bags and accessories.
Based on the concept of "adult playfulness" and "pride of Made in Japan,"
Weaving a story that continues from the past to the future,
Bringing Japanese traditions to the world.
This is not just "manufacturing."
We listen carefully to the voice of fabrics born from the time and techniques of decades and centuries ago.
This project aims to provide an opportunity for people to develop a sense of appreciation for things.
